Waldorf Curative Section

In Kalpataru, the primary goal is to elevate the child's awareness in relation to their environment and to foster a sense of joy in learning. The three-fold approach of teaching the Waldorf Curriculum—Willing, Feeling, and Thinking—provides a wonderful framework for supporting the development of children with special needs. Subjects such as Form Drawing, Literacy, Numeracy, Music, Movement, and Handwork can be tailored to meet the unique needs of these children, allowing for a more inclusive and supportive learning experience.
Rhythm plays a crucial role at Kalpataru, serving as a guiding force that provides structure and predictability for children who may feel a sense of sensory disintegration. Whether it's the rhythm inherent in therapeutic activities, craft work or human relationships, rhythm acts as the vital pulse that sustains the work at KOC, offering stability, security and a sense of order for the children.
Various activities such as Work & Play, Music & Movement, Food & Sleep, Handwork & Painting, Farming & Cooking, Nature walks, are integral components of the curriculum to provide a holistic and enriching experience for children with special needs. Each of these activities, when carried out in a rhythmic and consistent manner day after day, fosters a sense of security and healing in both the physical body and the soul expression of the child.
In Kalpataru, therapies such as rhythmical massages and footbaths are thoughtfully incorporated into the daily routine. These therapeutic practices, enhanced with fragrant oils, serve as a means for the soul-spirit to harmonize with the physio-etheric body, facilitating a sense of alignment and balance, thereby, preparing the body as a harmonious instrument for the incarnating spirit.
