Kingdom of Childhood (KOC) is a 17-year-old Waldorf-Steiner school in Bangalore, India. It was founded in 2007. It is one of the oldest Waldorf schools in Bangalore.
It is rooted in the profound philosophy of Dr. Rudolf Steiner, a philosopher, artist and spiritual scientist. Our school aspires to provide a holistic educational experience that fosters creativity, critical thinking and a deep connection to the world around us.
It came into existence in 2007 from the Founder Mr. Manivannan’s inspiration, strong faith, and confidence in Waldorf Education, which was the solution available to heal life on earth and infuse humankind with a living spirit.
This Science, which forms the underlying basis of Waldorf education, focuses on the study of a human being, with deep insights into the development of the whole human being. “Building wonderful human beings for the future” is the ultimate motivation that drives everyone involved in the school.KOC remained as a Kindergarten until 2017.
It started Waldorf Grades in the year 2018 & has been adding one grade each year. It has now come up to Grade 6 in the year 2024 and will continue to add one grade every year until Grade 10.
