Mr Manivannan

Mr Manivannan is a person who has been in the space of education for over 30 years, having created the school from his personal experience of homeschooling his own children during those times when the term ‘homeschooling’ was not very popular in India. He is the Founder Trustee & plays an integral role in all aspects of the school. He mentors teachers and inspires both students and educators.

His exploration of diverse pedagogies eventually led him to adopt Waldorf education as his preferred approach for this school. He had chosen a path that was different from his family's chosen profession of business, out of his passion for education. He participates in all aspects of the school with great involvement, including active teaching & mentoring of teachers & also working with individual children of the school.

He mentors many individual parents & teachers outside of our school through various courses he conducts both online & offline. Many Waldorf & non-Waldorf schools across India invite him to deliver his much sought-after "The Art Of Parenting" course for their Teacher & Parent community. He is an advocate of "Celebrating Parenthood" having guided many a family of our school, in their evolving challenges of parenting.

Ms Sunita Krishnan

Ms. Sunita Krishnan, Trustee, Kingdom of Childhood Trust. She plays an active role in all facets of the school. Her love and affection for children prompted her transition from the corporate world to serving young learners. With 15 years of experience in Waldorf schools in India, she oversees the school’s finances and manages overall administration. Additionally, she takes on the rewarding task of teaching a group of teenagers in the Kalpataru curative section.

Her expertise in the development of Waldorf schools makes her a great value addition to the school. Her keen eye for detail in marketing, infrastructure, finance, operations & communications helps enhance the quality of education of children delivered in the school.

Ms Gowri Sampath

Ms. Gowri began her journey at the Kingdom of Childhood 15 years ago as a Kindergarten teacher. Many of the children who were with her in their kindergarten years are grown up today and come to meet her fondly, inspired by the memories of their childhood days. She has developed an in-depth knowledge of the early years of childhood, through a passionate life of text study, child observation & self-reflection.

She now serves as a Pedagogical Mentor, is actively involved in guiding teachers in their professional development and engages actively with children as well. She guides parents as well, helping them set daily rhythms for their children and solving the mysteries of their challenging behaviours. Healing stories, finger plays, circle songs are the tools Ms.Gowri uses to work with the little ones of our Kindergarten.
