KINGDOM OF CHILDHOOD

a Steiner Waldorf School, Bangalore

SANKRANTHI SANTHE

Community events in Waldorf schools are an integral part of Steiner Waldorf education. They are rooted in seasonal rhythms and cultural traditions. They provide opportunities for celebration, collaboration, and deepening relationships & social bonding among the members of our community. These events reflect the core values of togetherness, creativity, and respect for nature, local culture & foster a strong sense of connection among students, teachers, parents and the broader school community.

Sankranthi Santhe is our annual flagship event & we have been celebrating it for many years now. It is a day-long event on a Sunday, organised by the school community of Parents, Teachers & Volunteers. This event provides newcomers an opportunity to get a glimpse into the world of Kingdom Of Childhood's Community spirit that embraces an inclusive environment.

Handwork being an integral part of the Waldorf curriculum, this event is an opportunity for visitors to purchase beautiful Handmade craft items made by our students, teachers and parents and also to take part in workshops to learn various art forms. Also an opportunity to become a Waldorf Kindergarten child to see & experience our magical Waldorf Puppetry show, usually conducted on a rhythmic basis in our Kindergarten.
